Story

I'm taking part in the Walk 100 KM in June challenge to support families facing dementia.

Dementia UK is a charity close to my heart, as many know, our family has been affected by this cruel disease. In 2018, my mother-in-law, Jane Morris, was diagnosed with Dementia. From that day forward, our world has changed.

Anyone who knows Jane knows she's always been a ray of sunshine. She's the life and soul of the party and has the kindest heart of anyone I've ever met. Jane would do anything for anyone, including taking up Nana duties every Friday to allow me to complete my degree a few years ago.

Over the past 5 years, we've watched Dementia take a hold. Something that nothing can prepare you for. Seeing the impact on Jane and her family has been difficult for everyone who knows them and having charities such as Dementia UK as a resource is so important for families affected by the disease.

I'd like to raise at least £250, to help other families going through the same thing we are.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference and anything you can give is massively appreciated.
