We provide 24 hour specialist care to support people with a terminal illness

Story

The Prince of Wales Hospice is based in Pontefract and provides palliative care and support for patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

Nathan and I work for Interserve Learning & Employment and as part of our roles we work with long-term unemployed people in Pontefract and surrounding areas and some of these people suffer with mental, emotional and/or physical health conditions.

Our aim, through these group sessions is to move these people forward so they can have the life they deserve. In order to build confidence and social skills the group were set a task to raise money for a charity; in which they chose The Prince of Wales Hospice.

The group have planned and organised small community events in the local area in order to raise their target amount of £200. As their Job Coaches we have a responsibility to encourage, motivate and support them throughout their journey.

So.. In an attempt to raise more funds for a fantastic and well respected charity we have agreed (begrudgingly) to throw ourselves out of an aircraft at 15,000ft!

Any donations would be greatly appreciated, for more information about the charity or the company we work for, please see the links below.

Thanks in advance.. and farewell!
