Headed up by ILC Founder Chris Ashworth, and supported in the peloton by key names from across the claims industry, the Great Insurance Bike Ride will see individuals jump on a bike (at home, in the gym or outdoors) and cycle 50 miles on Tuesday 14 February – helping to raise awareness and sponsorship for the Rainbow Trust children’s charity.
Chris said, “Off the back of another highly successful Motor Claims Networking Lunch we have raised a little under £1.2m to date for the incredible Rainbow Trust. One element to our sustainable approach in supporting the charity is ILC Day – 14 February – where companies across the industry all pull together to raise money and share the fun on our various channels.
“This year’s Great Insurance Bike Ride is a new initiative for 2023 and means that I, amongst industry peers, will be breaking a sweat and clocking up the miles to raise awareness and sponsorship for this amazing cause.”
Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity supports families who have a child with a life-threatening or terminal illness. When a child has a serious illness, family life is turned upside down and time becomes more precious than ever. Rainbow Trust pairs each family with an expert Family Support Worker who enables them to make the most of time together, giving them practical and emotional support, whenever they need it, for as long as is needed. We support the whole family including parents, carers, the unwell child, brothers, sisters and grandparents.
