Dear all, 

It's hard to know where to start in describing what this past month has been like. It goes without saying that the unprecedented situation which Japan currently faces tops the list, but on a personal level this month has been about much more for me. Not only did I propose to the love of my life with whom I intend to share the rest of my life with here in Japan, but I also recently learned of the passing away of my grandfather. 

I have wanted to live in Japan since I was first introduced to the martial art of Karate at the age of 4. Thus, being and living finally here is truly a dream come true for me. I absolutely love the kindness of the people who reside in this marvelous place which I've come to call "home" over the past 19 months. Thereby, I'd like to dedicate this run not only to contribute in the relief efforts for all those in the northeastern part of the country, but for the entire nation. 

I'm running to let people know that "I care" (I-ker) for Japan and I'm here to stay. Please join me in letting the world know that you care with me. Believe me when I say that your donations are appreciated more than you will ever know.
