JOIN CHARITY WALK FOR PEACE TO RAISE FUNDS FOR GIFT OF
SIGHT PROJECT IN AFRICA
ORGANISED BY AHMADIYYA MUSLIM ELDERLY ASSOCIATION & HUMANITY FIRST (UK lead charity organisation)

Dear Friend/Colleague/Charity Supporter, Peace and Blessings upon you!

Thank you very much for your support in the recent years. We are honoured that you have responded to our need for help with such a compassion and generosity. Thank you very much in anticipation for your donation. It really means a lot to us and to people in desperate need.

All the funds raised will be donated for Gift of Sight Project (GOS) undertaken by Charity Walk For Peace and Humanity First  (U.K lead Registered charity) in Africa without deducing any administrative charges.

I was able to visit Benin, West Africa as a voluntary worker to undertake medical camps and work in the missionary hospital couple of years ago. I have come across people over there who are extremely poor to afford the cost of medicines to treat common medical problems. Thus considering cataract eye surgery is beyond their thinking and resources thus resulting in post mature cataract related complications.

Through GOS appeal, Humanity First has invested in clinics in Africa to provide cataract operations for patients referred from our rural medical camps.

Humanity First has developed mobile Surgical Eye Unit (Al-Ain) donated to African countries. However, it needs doctor volunteers and funds to afford the cost of medication and lens related with eye surgery.  The cost of one eye operation is £50.

Your tremendous donations to fund GOS Project in Africa has also led to build Masroor Eye Institute in Burkina Faso, West Africa. This state-of-the-art teaching eye  hospital is being built with planned completion and opening in late 2020 (God will) at a cost of over 1 million pounds. Once completed, this institute will provide treatments to thousands of patients every year.

It may seem shocking, but just £50 can provide the basic treatment and dramatically improve the quality of life for someone.

So far, thousands of successful operations have been performed in Africa but more needs to be done. The project is active in Benin, Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso.

Your support makes our work possible. I hope you will remain involved with us in this noble cause. It is easy and secure to donate with JUSTGIVING.

Ahmadiyya Muslim Elderly Association U.K, a registered charity (number
1129448)
which is committed to helping the most vulnerable people
of sub-Saharan Africa. We have been organising charity walks
since 1985 and have raised over 5.2 million pounds for over 500 UK
Registered charities to alleviate human suffering and to provide
specialised care to most vulnerable people of the world.

Last year, I was able to raise more than £1500 with your generous donations. This year my target is to raise funds to sponsor at least 50 eye operations (£2500).

One eye operation costs £50. I humbly appeal that you sponsor as many eye operations as possible which can be done on behalf of your beloved family and loved deceased ones to invoke God's blessings upon them.

Thank you very much for your gracious donations for this noble cause. I  am extremely grateful for your trust and support for this blessed cause.
