ICKENHAM CC RACE 4 CHARITY #ICCrace4charity
The 1st XI & 2nd XI squads of Ickenham Cricket Club are going to head to head by running as many kilometres as they physically can on the weekend to raise money for the local Trinity Homeless Project!
We are raising money for 'Trinity Homeless Project', a local charity to ICC who, especially now, do great work as the rough sleepers are particularly at risk to viral infection of Covid and many already have underlying health issues.
The amateur league cricket season was due to start on May 9th however due to Covid-19 we unfortunately cannot get outside and play!
Therefore, to replace our weekend cricket void we have decided to fund-raise by having a team race within the club! Our 1st XI will go up against our 2nd XI to see which team can run the furthest for their respective teams, a forfeit will be incurred for the losing team and individual with the least distance!
The hours of play to get in your running will be Saturday morning (12am) till Sunday evening (11pm) and we are logging our runs on a running app so no cheating!
The two sides:
1st XI: E.Evans, J.Gandhi, L.O'Driscoll, D.O'Driscoll, S.Gibson, S.Wilsher, O.Marshall, K.Mistry, J.Danns, S.Stagg, R.Small-Boyce, J.Mannick
2nd XI: D.Pope, J.Hayward, D.Morgans, S.Fidge, A.Nainani, N.Trivedi, S.Tank, A.Santimon, N.Pandya, F.Rumney, S.Phalora, S.Lupton
Non-participating friends and family of Ickenham CC who can't run will hopefully replicate what they do on a Saturday matchday (whether that is the colts running in whites, adults sinking a lovely beverage or some garden cricket)!
We feel it is the least a sports club like ICC can do to help our community for a fantastic cause!
