Story
On the 14 July 2012, Rory, Ant and Rachel will set off from the UK in search of the capital of Mongolia: UlaanBataar. One of our main aims throughout this adventure is to raise money for Mountain Rescue, as keen kayakers and walkers we have seen first hand on several occasions just how wonderful a service these volunteers provide.
Every single penny of the money donated is going to the charities. The team are personally paying for the Mongolian adventure. We are even going to donate our car to charity when we arrive in Ulaanbaatar!
Mountain rescue are a charity funded organisation entirely made up of volunteers, when they get a call these guys turn up whatever the time, weather or circumstance. As well as rescuing people off the fells, mountain rescue get called out to everything from snowed in meals on wheels to families on days out. One day they might even be turning up to rescue you!
So please do give whatever you can to support the work of mountain rescue teams across England and Wales.
