Story
This year the Henley Half Marathon and 10K have been cancelled because of Covid-19. The two Henley Rotary Clubs who organise the event have issued a challenge to runners as an alternative.
The Icehouse Hill Challenge involves running a section of the Half Marathon/10K course any time from September 1st to October 11th (the date the event would have happened).
Full details are available at https://henleyrotary.club/icehouse-hill-challenge.html
The Henley Rotary Clubs have chosen to support the Sue Ryder Palliative Care Hub, South Oxfordshire to benefit from these funds. This organisation provides care for people facing a frightening, life-changing diagnosis. It’s more than expert medical care, they also offer emotional support and practical help. They do whatever they can to be a safety net for patients, and their loved ones, at the most difficult time of their lives.

If you were due to enter the Half Marathon or 10K this year please consider donating the entry fee anyway. The proceeds of the event each year go to worthy causes and this year many charities are missing out because of the cancellation of many fundraising activities.
You are, of course, welcome to make a donation even if you don't actually enter the Icehouse Hill Challenge. Maybe you would only have been a spectator at the Henley half Marathon this year but you are still welcome to donate.
If you do enter the challenge maybe you can get your friends to sponsor you and raise money that way. Please give as much as you can to this worthy cause.
