Story
Back in 2020 when we were partially allowed out. Me and some friends embarked on a camping escape in the Lakes and day one set off for Buttermere. It didnt go totally to plan
So when our friend saw this event we had to give it ago , this time with map reading skills a ready. So family, friends and dogs who enjoy a day out in the hills have joined to form a team and here we are, gearing up to walk 5 peaks in 5 hours. Our team name, I can't believe it's not Buttermere, plays homage to David and his amazing map reading skills. The 5 in 5 starts and finishes at the Swinside Inn, near Keswick. The route is approximately eight miles long and takes in five peaks – Causey Pike (637m), Scar Crags (672m), Outerside (568m), Stile End (447m) and Barrow (455m). So if we end up in Buttermere, we're lost. Again...!
Please sponsor us as we take part in the 5 in 5 Challenge in aid of the MS Society. You never know, next year we might tackle the 10 in 10...
