Story
In May of this year, Robson Vets sadly and very suddenly lost our friend and colleague June Currie who was a well known and popular receptionist at our Laurencekirk Hospital. All staff have been affected not only by her loss but also by the speed by which her illness claimed her life.
As a result of this and with permission from June’s family we have decided to hold a variety of fundraising activities in memory of June....
Beginning with a week of activities at all our branches on Monday 5th September and will include balloons, badges, a daily cake sale, quiz, children’s colouring competition, and numerous prized activities. A selection of competitions will also be available at local shops including Laurencekirk Pet Supplies who have also kindly agreed to donate a prize for the event.
I will be doing my bit by cycling around all our surgeries on 18th September, starting in Laurencekirk and visiting Portlethen , Inverbervie and Montrose
June’s family have nominated the Brain Tumour Charity to receive donations in her memory therefore all money raised will be donated to this very worthwhile organisation as a tribute to June.
Please come along and join in the event at our surgeries or please sponsor me through this page, or alternatively we will have collection cans available if you simply wish to make a donation!
The Brain Tumour Charity is at the forefront of the fight to defeat brain tumours, making a difference every day to the lives of people with a brain tumour and their families. They fund pioneering research to increase survival, raise awareness of the symptoms and effects of brain tumours and provide support for everyone affected to improve quality of life.
