Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

In early February of this year we were tragically robbed of our amazing dad and Jill's wonderful husband, Ian.

After a great start to the year and having been cleared as fit and healthy after a minor brain bleed in the summer of last year, Ian suddenly suffered a catastrophic brain haemorrhage which, as you might of guessed, completely turned our world upside down.

Whilst we were with dad in the hospital, Jill told us that she had planned to run the Bristol 10K and she was now going to run it for Dad. Anna and I signed up soon after and roped in a whole load of family, friends and work colleagues to get involved too.

Naturally, we thought it would be fitting to run the race for a charity that is working to prevent such tragedies from happening in the future, and on doing some research, we came across Stroke Association. An incredible charity with the ultimate aim of making stroke a preventable and treatable disease, and improving the quality of life for people affected by stroke.

So we'd love you to get involved in our tribute to Ian by donating anything you can to a wonderful charity and help prevent this life changing tragedy from taking any more loved ones away from us.

Many thanks in advance.

Team Ian.
