Story

Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to visit the page. If by the time you leave, youcould donate a small sum of money, that would be great!

Basically, a couple of months ago I looked into entering Men's Health Survival of the Fittest. Today, I signed up!

A colleague of mine did the London Marathon earlier this year for a cancer hospital and raised huge amounts of money. Now I know this event doesn't compare to a marathon but 10km, for me, with obstacles and challenges every 1km is plenty! Just to give you a point of reference - Llanelli 10km 2011 winning time - 31:40, Swansea 10km 2010 - 28:28, Cardiff 10km 2011 - 27:46, Cardiff Survival of the Fittest 10km 2010 - 52:27!!!!!

My dad died from a  heart attack when I was 7 years old and there's no way that I can change that, but by raising money for the British Heart Foundation, I hope that in some small way it will support them in their work. My mum has always donated to the BHF and I think its about time I did the same. (She hasn't done the event by the way!)

I appreciate that times are tough and if you can't afford to donate, then just give me a thought at about 11:45am on October 2nd!

Thanks in advance,

Ian
