Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As part of the Guide Dogs Swim 100 event, I have chosen to swim an average of 100 lengths everyday in May 2019 (that's a total of 77,500 meters or 48 Miles) to help raise money for this amazing charity.

My aim is to raise a minimum of £100 for their amazing cause - that's enough to give someone with sight loss life-changing freedom and independence for 20 days.

  • £50 - could buy an off to school kit for a puppy
  • £140 - could buy a starter kit for a new guide dog owner
  • £250 - could buy 10 white harnesses, the iconic symbol of a working guide dog
  • £350 - could support a working guide dog partnership for 10 weeks

Our dog Milo (see picture)  is ex Guide Dog breeding stock, and we as a family had the pleasure of regular involvement with the charity before our move to Cornwall.

Many thanks in advance for your support.

Ian

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
