Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
As you may already know Demelza house gave my wife (Jill) and I some fantastic support in helping to look after our daughter (Naomi) who was born in 2003 with over 80% or her intestine missing.
Naomi has done fantastically well since, and no longer qualifies to stay at the hospice, but we've tried to continue with some fundraising events to help to give something back for the help they gave us in the early days, and in appreciation for some of the inspirational parents/staff that we met there.
Not sure how I'll get on with this Triathlon as it's a step up from those I've done before, with a 2.5 mile sea swim, 112 mile cycle (with over 9000 feet of climbing in 40 degree heat / strong headwinds) followed by a Marathon. Having said all of that, I always say that the determination you need to finish ... is eclipsed by the determination of some of the children/parents who have to deal with adversity on a day to day basis, so I always feel privilged just to be able able to take part.
Any money raised (no matter how small the amount) really does go to a throughly worthwhile cause so any donation is much appreciated.
