Hi Guys I need your help!! 

Last year, myself and various members of Guildford Hockey Club from all different teams took on a challenge to row to Rome and back on Concept 2 rowing machines and managed to raise approximately £22,000 for three local charities and Guildford Hockey Club, something we are all very proud of.  It was great fun and with music blaring and 24 rowing machines going at any one time, quite a spectacle!

This year the target is £30,000 and on the 28th March we have decided to row to Russia and back!  Each participant for this gruelling challenge has to row 10,000 metres.  The target time allowed for this is 1 hour, however, due to the competitive nature of us sporting creatures, it naturally becomes a race to the death! (almost literally).  The whole event takes place over a 12 hour period starting at 8am where each team fills an hour slot culminating in the 1st X1 having to do the last hour from 7-8pm, after they have already played a National League game!!!  (Harsh but fair)!! 

Last year I managed to raise the necessary funds through local contacts and businesses, this year I am calling upon all my friends and associates to help me achieve my personal target of £5,000. This year three different charities have been selected and these are: Disability Challenges, The Rainbow Trust and The British Heart Foundation,  worthy charities I'm sure you will agree.
