Story
Hi my name is Ian Ines and I'm about to attempt the Brighton Marathon 2021.
In march of dreaded 2020 the world was put on hold and I put on my running shoes for the first time in years and completed the couch to 5k (3.1miles)
So naturally the next step is to complete a marathon right (26miles)... I must be completely mad.
Scrolling through my Facebook I saw a family of a former colleague of mine going through a difficult time with there amazing son Alfie.
Alfie had been diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, an aggressive form of blood cancer. The family were doing car boot sales and raising as much money as they can for CLIC Sargent (childrens cancer charity) who were a fantastic support during this difficult time.
It felt like the penny dropped. No matter how much pain 2021 is going to give me in sore muscles and tiredness. It is nothing, when compared with the treatment the brave children with cancer CLIC Sargent support.
Please help me to raise as much money as I can for not only a lovely family and there courageous son. But all children suffering with childhood cancer.
Many thanks
Much love
Inesy
