Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Just to let you know that I completed the 2009 Lanzarote Ironman, "known as the toughest Ironman in the world", not so tough eh !!!! For those of you who dont already know, May 23rd was my fifth consecutive year competing in Lanzarote, I know a little crazy ! but it was for a good cause. I was raising funds for the Arthritis Research Campaign.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Arthritis Research Campaign gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

A little race information : I was swimming 2.4 miles in the shark infested seas, cycling 112 miles around the island, and running a 26 mile marathon in the blistering heat, now that had got to be worth sponsoring, and the site is still open for donations, and will help arc with their good work.

Race day was tough, no PB this year, but not my slowest Ironman Lanzarote either, so all in all a great day out, and good to raise a few pounds with your help for ARC. Once again thank you for your generous support helping raise funds for this great charity, same time next year ?????????????? Ian, (P.S. I may have exaggerated about the sharks !)
