The Challenge 30th October - 14th November 2021
The route takes me via the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar
through beautiful valleys, dense forests and across glacial rivers, enjoying tantalising glimpses of the mighty Everest before I reach my goal of Everest Base Camp at some 5380mtrs ASL, I will the descend down to Gorakshep to get a short rest, The next morning I will wake early to once again push up and into very high altitude to trek to the summit of Kalapatar at 5545mtrs ASL , the famous Everest viewpoint, and wonder at views of highest mountain on the planet at sunrise!
New Challenge new FLAG!
After the success of my last flag I am going to do
another, so if any companies are interested in sponsoring me to get
on the flag that will be great, last years flag was retweet by Ant Middleton!, was in the RCI magazine not to mention throughout SIG PLC and its customer base
Why?
I want to continue my support of Samaritans for their
support during a difficult time in my life, you can read about that here
- https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/ian-dryden2
I now want to inspire and help those who find themselves in
a similar situation, I will share my training, BLOGS & VLOGS on how I coped with my depression, how I motivate myself to this day to keep a mostly positive attitude and how I pick myself up when I am down.
Importantly I am trying to unite the construction industry
in dealing with the major issue of mental health within the workplace and telling everyone out there #itisokaynottobeokay.
