Event: Glasgow Kiltwalk 2023, on 30 April 2023
At all 4 Kiltwalk events of 2023, we will have people Kiltwalking for us...employees, trustees, supporters, bereaved family members and others....all intent on raising funds to help make Scotland a safer, fairer and healthier place to live and work.

Story

Our occupational health and safety charity provides a unique service, supporting workers not in trade unions to challenge employers who place their health and safety at risk.

We also support families who have had to pay the ultimate cost of health and safety failures, the loss of a loved one following an incident at work.

I am walking with two friends, one old, one new and have met both following the death of a loved one in tragic circumstances.

Louise Adamson, a Scottish Hazards trustee and health and safety campigner tells her brother Michael's story across the UK and further afield. Michael was electrocuted at work in 2005 and Louise now works to ensure no family has to suffer in the way hers has over the last 18 years.

Nicky Midgley is the sister of Simon Midgley who, along with his partner, Richard Dyson died in the Cameron House Hotel Fire in 2017. We supported her family and helped her mum Jane overturn the original decision not to hold a public inquiry into their deaths.

Your support will help us to contine to help them campaign for safer hotels in Scotland and fight for safer, healthier and fairer work in workplaces across Scotland.
