Turf Sleepout · 12 October 2018 ·

Burnley FC in the Community (BFCitC) is urging business leaders from across the region to commit to sleeping out in the Turf Moor stadium for one night as part of the charitys first ever Turf Sleepout fundraising event.

Story

Taking place on Friday 12th October, the Turf Sleepout will ask those taking part to give up the comfort of their own bed for the night and commit to raising a minimum of £250 to be split three ways between Burnley FC in the Community (charity number: 1155856), homelessness charity Emmaus (charity number: 1064470) and SafeNet Domestic Abuse Service for Janes Place Womens Refuge (charity number: 1091544).

During the past few years I have become more and more aware of the ever increasing number of people living on our streets. This excellent initiative by BurnleyFC in the Community gives me the opportunity [in a small way] to support the homeless as well as others in our society who need some security in their lives.

Any donations to help me reach [or exceed] my £250 sponsorship target will be greatly appreciated.

Best Wishes, Ian
