Story

.On Saturday 26th June myself and a group of friends are walking the Sandstone Trail (34 miles). We are doing this for the charity Mind. The men’s Mental Health Charity which gives men the support they need.

Men naturally struggle to talk about their emotions. It’s historically seen as a sign as weakness. But this can cause mental health issues and lead to depression. Depression escalates without help and can lead to devastating outcomes.

Men aged 40-49 have the highest suicide rates in the UK.

In current times with COVID restrictions with confinement. We need to do one simple thing......................

Just talk, listen and support.

We are all in WhatsApp groups with our mates sending each other messages, photos, videos of what we have been upto in isolation. But sometimes we hide behind the these and the loneliness and pressures of life are masked.

So us as mates have decided to just go for a walk and have a chat. Just a group of lads walking, chatting and maybe a few beers.

Thanks all
