Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have taken up cycling to get fit, and have entered into a 100KM Charity cycle ride in Yorkshire, on Saturday 21st May. This will be my longest ride by a long way, and I wanted to do it for a worthwhile Charity.
This Charity is personal to my heart. My father-in-law died 2 years ago after getting a form of Asbestosis. This was very sad as he had worked his whole life as a teacher; so to catch this illness was very strange.
He spent the last week of his life in St Wilfrid's Hospice in Eastbourne. They made him feel very comfortable, and as happy as you can be in this situation. I was amazed by the Hospice and staff, and what they do for terminally ill people in their final moments in this world. I feel that any support I can give them, will be a chance for them to help others.
