Story
I'm a Trustee of Hope for Justice, a charity that exists to bring an end to modern slavery by preventing exploitation, rescuing victims, restoring lives and reforming society. We work in England & Wales, Scotland, The United States, Norway, Uganda, Ethiopia, Cambodia, Zimbabwe, and Australia.
I've been fortunate to see some of our work with my own eyes and I will always do everything I can to support the work. You can read more about Hope for Justice on our website: https://hopeforjustice.org
To raise money, I am doing an indoor cycling challenge which is to ride the height of Everest (8,848m or 29,029ft). I'm hoping to do it in a day but (and it is a big but) I broke my ankle really badly (trimalleolar fracture) 8 weeks ago and am currently unable to walk. I've had surgery to repair it and things are healing well. I've had one session of physio and they believe I'll be able to do this challenge but I've got a lot of healing and training to do and I need to be flexible and accept that it might take me 2 or 3 days (although I hope not!).
The work of Hope for Justice means so much to me and this will give me an extra incentive to recover / heal / train, knowing that - with your support - it will help us to bring an end to modern slavery. Any donations go directly to Hope for Justice.
