Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'd always said that I'd never ever do a Skydive after witnessing a failed attempt many years ago whilst sitting in a park one sunny afternoon!
However when I was speaking to Havens Hospices about how my Will Writing business could help them raise much needed funds, I guess my brain couldn't have been functioning when they asked "As a number of solicitors aren't too keen, would you be ok doing sponsored Extreme Will Writing?"
I heard myself say "of course yes" as they told me I would be skydiving from 13,000 ft whilst getting a Will signed!! Now I wasn't under the influence of anything, but I guess my mind thought it's about time I put something back!
Joking aside, writing a Will is something which a lot of people just put off. In reality it really is an essential part of ensuring that your family/friends/loved ones really know what your wishes are after you die. It also ensures that you leave your Property, Savings and gifts to the people you really care about.
Not only have I agreed to jump out of a plane to try to raise much needed funds, but if you would like to have a FREE WILL written please email Emma at ehamilton@havenshospices.org.uk by Sunday 27th June when the draw will take place. The winner will be announced on Monday 28th June.
Also when you're having that Will written, why not leave a small legacy to Havens. It massively helps them (1 in 3 patients cared for across Havens are paid for by gifts in Wills) as well as taking money out of your estate that could be assessed for inheritance tax.
I'm looking to raise at least £1,000 but in reality I'd love it if I could raise more. And just think your gift will force me to scare myself to death one Saturday morning in June!
Thanks so much in advance.
