Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and sorry it has taken me a few days to get this together!

This year I have done a few different events for different charities, and now I want to raise as much money as possible for Willow Wood Hospice, who is an amazing Hospice.

In 2003 we sadly lost my mum to breast cancer. Mum was an amazing woman and she is missed every day by us all. In the last few weeks of her illness she was taken into Willow Wood hospice and the care they showed my mum and support for our family will always be appreciated and never be forgotten. They helped to make an awful situation the best it could have ever been and more.....

Like the Hospice, my mum always put everyone first and I want to try and give a little back.

The purpose built Hospice provides specialist Palliative Care to those suffering with life-threatening illnesses. The Hospice first opened its doors for day hospice patients in May 1999 and for in-patients the following September. Since then, the Hospice has cared for more than 2,000 patients and their families - http://www.willowwood.info/about.html

So how can you help this amazing cause I hear you say?!

For the month of October I will be running a minimum of 4 miles per day.....legs permitting! I did consider stopping drinking or maybe growing a moustache next month, but I am unable to do either!

On that basis I have decided to do Runtober instead! For those of you on twitter you can follow progress at Ron Hill #runeveryday......if all goes to plan then I should reach a minimum of 124 miles this month, though I plan to try and do the equivalent of 5 marathons...

If you are still reading then I am impressed and if you would like to support me with a few quid, then that would be even better! Thanks for taking time to read and for your support.....I will keep you posted with progress!

You can either sponsor me here or via text as it's easy to donate. Just text MUMC65, followed by your amount to 70070. Seeing the profile picture of me with hair has to be worth £5 :-)

Thanks,

Ian.
