In Addlestone, at Christmas, The Salvation Army serves a Christmas Day Lunch for those who would otherwise be on their own, which this year will be delivered to people in their own homes. We also have a Toy Appeal to provide a gift for each child in families that are finding life difficult for any number of reasons; and we provide Christmas food and treat bags for each of these families. The families are referred to us by local schools and social services. Last year we reached out to 150 families and 450 children in this way.
