Ian & Julie's Machu Picchu Trek, 7 August 2016

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On the 7th August this year myself and my good lady wife Julie plan to embark on our next challenge, this time to trek through the Andes Mountains in Peru to conquer the one and only Inca Trail that leads to Machu Picchu – one of the world’s most important archaeological finds, and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World!

To put that in to perspective, we will be climbing to a maximum height of 4,200 metres (13,779 feet), which is around 4 times the height of Mt Snowdon and well over 3 times the height of Ben Nevis!

We are doing this in aid of Joseph Holts 2016 pledge to raise over £50k for Francis House Children's Hospice, which is based in Didsbury and does fantastic work providing valuable support to children, young people and their families throughout the North West.

Please give as much or as little as you can afford, it all helps towards the total.
