Story
Well I made it in London in 1h 4m and Max beat me comfortably with a time of just 44 minutes over in the USA. Great effort by all those in the club who ran from across the globe, Australia, India, Spain, Germany and the USA a great effort.
Big thank you to all those who ran, but more importantly to all those who have donated. We are well on our way to our target.
- Thanks so much.
North London Cricket Club is a fantastic a local sporting asset that has been part of our community for nearly 150 years.
Over the last 3 years our junior members have grown by over 100 to over 300. In addition to numerous junior teams, 5 senior adult teams, we have a thriving women's section with 2 senior ladies teams, a range of girls junior teams and as a club are committed to providing opportunities for all to play the great game of cricket.
This growth in numbers means we need to invest in our training facilities and our new nets projects will cost the club over £80,000, but provide great facilities for all.
So we need to raise money and I have volunteered along with Max to run one of 24 ten kilometre runs over a 24 hour period. I’ll be running in the UK and Max in the USA, joined by technology at the start and then separated by fitness and youth from the first step!
For any one who knows my long distance (to me that's anything over 100m) running ability this is going to be a serious challenge for me, less so for Max who warmed up recently with a triathlon.
So any thing you can give to help the club will really help.
Many thanks
