Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 28th June, I will be heading to Morcambe with 9 other middle aged blokes to take part in the "Way of the Roses" Coast to Coast cycle route over the pennines to Bridlington in Yorkshire.
All 10 of us are middle aged and not regular cyclists. For those that know me, I have always been a "big" lad. I got to an embarrassing 24 stone and have been yoyo dieting for the past few years. By June I intend to get my weight down to a more normal level to enable me to complete this 3 day trek.
All the guys on the team have had children or know someone who's child has benefited from the facilities at Sharoe Green Maternity Unit that has been supported for years by Baby Beat. We are aware that they wish to construct a new bereavement centre. When my wife Suzanne was in the early stages of carrying our Twin daughters, Sue had a suspected miscarriage and we witnessed first hand the care and compassion of all the staff on the unit - fortunately the outcome was much better than expected and I'm proud to be the father of three daughters that are all currently student nurses at the Royal Preston Hospital. We all know how tight the purse strings are within the NHS, by raising this money we can help the amazing staff do far more than their budgets will permit them to do.
I would really appreciate your support - please donate anything you are able to - Every penny counts and will be thankfully received and faithfully applied.
