We support young people at risk of suicide to stay safe and find hope in times of need

Story

PAPYRUS is the national Charity for the Prevention of Young Suicide. Suicide is the biggest killer of young people under the age of 35 in the UK, in 2018 over 1800 young people took their own lives. PAPYRUS provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through their helpline, HOPELINEUK. Every £5 raised can help pay for a life-saving contact to HOPELINEUK. Your donations really are lifesaving, thank you.

Last year my son suffered a mental health crisis in the lead up to his GCSEs which culminated in a hospital stay. This was traumatic for him and terrifying for me as a parent. I learnt that finding support for children and young adults isnt easy, it takes months to get suitable counselling and charities like PAPYRUS are literally lifesavers.

In May i'm taking part in the TGO challenge which involves hiking, self sustained and solo from the west to east coast of Scotland. A journey of nearly 200 miles with an ascent the same as the height of Everest. Each night i will be camping wild in the mountains and doing my very best not to get lost.

The company i work for Clarke Transport have made Papyrus their chosen charity of the year and have been extremely supportive in my challenge. Please give as generously as possible for this great cause.
