Story

The MAMIL’s are signed up and fundraising again for the Big Battlefield Bike Ride 2024! Simon is the original team member and this will be his 14th ride, supporting our veterans. James has completed six rides, Ian five and Jimmy four. Together we make up Team MAMIL (Middle Age Men in Lycra) and are ably supported by friends Sean and Paul on the trip.

2024 is a special year and we had to sign-up again - our iconic bike ride will mark the 80th Anniversary of the D-Day landings and remember the sacrifices made by brave servicemen and women. Starting Sainte-Mere-Eglise we’ll cycle through Normandy, visiting the D-Day beaches, including Omaha, Gold and Juno. We’ll also visit other key historical areas including Bayeux, Lisieux, Bernay and many more before ending in Paris. The Big Battlefield Bike Ride is now in its 16th year and continues to be a great challenge worthy of our support.
