Story
I have been so inspired by the Isabella Wish to Walk Campaign, I have decided to dedicate my third Saltmarsh75 to support the campaign.
Isabella Dawson is 3 years old, she has a twin Scarlett and a 2 year old brother James. Isabella has Spastic Diplegia which means she needs SDR surgery to enable her to walk. Currently Isabella has to get around on her knees, she is such a determined little girl and tries to keep up with her brother and sister, so much so that her knees are like sandpaper.
The treatment has not been available on the NHS although recently the NHS have said they will carry out some operations, Isabella does not fit the criteria.
She has been accepted by Dr Parks in St Louis, USA for the operation at a cost of £75,000 – the fund is now approaching £60,000
“Isabella will undergo Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy on the 30th November 2018. She will have a pre-op assessment done on the 28th November ...where she will finally meet Dr Park! Her Physiotherapy will be due to end around the 28th December.
