Story

Thank you for visiting my page.

I am running to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Charity. The money is used to help fund research, improve care and provide support for People with MND.   I recently lost a good friend to the disease in 2022. I have also witnessed first hand how cruel this disease can be throughout my career as a Physiotherapist.

Motor neurone disease  affects the nerves known as motor neurones. These nerves are found in the brain and spinal cord and they help tell your muscles what to do. Messages from the motor neurones gradually stop reaching the muscles. This leads the muscles to weaken, stiffen and waste which can affect how you walk, talk, eat drink and breathe.  MND is life shortening and there is currently no cure.

I would like to raise as much as possible to help people that are affected and with the hope of one day finding a cure.

If you can donate even a small amount I will be so grateful.
