Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page it really means a lot to me - and the Marie Curie Nurses that I am raising for.
Any amount you are able to give will make a huge difference.
Writing doesn't always come that naturally to me however, being 53 is a cause for celebration. In short I am a very fortunate person who's life has been a positive one, some people are not as fortunate. I am raising money because I have lost loved ones and friends to terminal illness and experience first hand how distressing it can be – and why the work of Marie Curie is so important.
I am raising money and swimming the Camel Estuary, a 1 mile swim from Padstow to Rock with my buddy Phil Crutcher and Mark Wortham who informs me the Estuary will be shark infested on this day!! a swim that needs to be accomplished within thirty minutes. I've been training hard over the past year, with many early morning swims put in. Marie Curie Nurses care for people with any terminal illness – not just terminal cancer – and they look after the whole family. They provide support and reassurance to people at the worst time in their lives. It’s not just the person that is ill that matters, but those who care for them too, who can be left with the lasting effects of losing someone.
Marie Curie needs donations to continue running its Nursing Service, its hospices, so please donate if you can.
