Story

I started planning  this challenge in November 2018 and continue to work towards departure date, 189 October 2019

My goals were to lose weight, to eat more healthily, to get more fresh air, to enjoy the great walking facilities on my doorstep.

The ultimate goal was to complete a 12 day trek to Annapurna Base camp, through the Annapurna Sanctuary.

In order to give myself the best chance for success I have walked weekly since last January . I have walked up over 20 Munros. I have done Jocks Road and the Lairig Gru. I have completed the Dundee Kiltwalk.

I have introduced fish and vegetarian meals into my diet, cut down my alcohol consumption, reduced my sugar intake  and  controlled my portion sizes.

The result of these lifestyle changes has left me 25 pounds lighter and feeling as  fit an healthy as I have for over 40 years.

I am asking for your financial backing for my trek. I have paid for the trip and equipment so every penny contributed will go towards the charities activities.

If you can't afford to assist financially you may wish to get on board with helping the trust, take part in some of our activities or embark on your own personal challenge however modest or grand that might be
