Having started with just an occasional bimble on a mountain bike four years ago, I now spend more time on a bike than I did as a kid and enjoy long distant rides. So, having been asked if I wanted to take on this iconic challenge, it made sense to see if I had it in me.
150 miles and 4,500m of elevation (which is equivalent to riding up mount Snowdon 4 times!), ridden over approximately 12-14 hours, such a challenge I thought, merits trying to raise some money for a great cause.
This is a one time only attempt for me and training will involve 7-10 hours of training a week for 4 months.
