It was a long, hot day out in Edinburgh on 23rd May, but I managed to get myself round the 26.2 miles of Edinburgh coastline successfully!  It's fair to say the unending heat took its toll on myself and all the other runners, so any ideas of times went out the window when the sun broke out from the cloud 5 minutes before the start.  From then on it was a case of just getting round safely.

I enjoyed the whole weekend, and it wouldn't have been possible without the love and support of my close family and friends.  Special thanks go to Nomi, James, Mum, Dad, Nettie and John - who were all there to shout on the day - all of them picking up a bit of sun burn in the process!
