Virgin London Marathon 2010 · 25 April 2010 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page (pls also see the blog -> http://itsgottahurt.blogspot.com)
For some time we have been thinking, talking and speculating about completing the London Marathon. For 2010, all things aligned and we got places running for the Get Kids Going Charity. You can see the sort of work this charity does over on the left of this page. Training has now started – we have a gruelling 16 week program laid out in front of us – which we need to stick to as we try to achieve the target of under 4 hours. We would appreciate anything that you can give towards this cause, and help add to the motivation and determination we are going to need to get through the next 4 months of training, and eventually complete those 26.2 miles around London.
As we move towards our sponsorship target - we will keep in mind the following thresholds:
£100 will buy a pair of kids racing gloves
£250 will buy a speed meter and 2 push rims to keep the kids racing
£500 will buy 2 wheels for a lightweight sports racing wheelchair
£900 will buy the frame of the sports racing wheelchair
£1,600 will buy half a racing wheelchair
£2,000 would pay for a disabled child's sports training and travel to sports events for a whole year.
Many thanks!! Ian Robbins, Robin Froud
