Story

Due to family health issues I have had no time for training so have defered my entry until next year. Apolgies to all previous sponsors.

---------

When our youngest Fraser was born in July '11 he began to struggle with his breathing and needed to be in an incubator and ventilator for a couple of days before improving and getting out to be by his Mum's side. When sitting by his side in ITU I spotted the plaque on his incubator saying it was donated by a Blue Peter appeal in aid of Bliss. This is my chance to give something back.

I have signed up for the Great Scottish Run Half Marathon 2012 as in incentive to get back out running and get fit again. And while I'm doing it I can raise money for a very worthwhile cause. I survived the 2009 10k Urbanathlon - surely twice the distance can't be that much more difficult? Right?

As an extra challenge I'm endeavouring to run the distance from Glasgow to Easter Head (Scotland's most northerly point) during my training. That's 295 miles!!!!!

So please dig deep and donate now.

Bliss is the leading UK charity for babies born premature or sick. We rely on donations to fund our work but with one baby admitted to neonatal care every five minutes we don’t have the resources to reach every baby who needs us. Your donation can help Bliss ensure every baby gets the best care.
