Story

Thanks for visiting our page. We are raising money for the British Heart Foundation's research and I'd be so grateful for your support. Our Dad died in 2007 after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest. After his death it was discovered that he was suffering from Arrthymogenic Right Ventricular Dysplaysia (ARVD) which is a genetic condition. It is unknown about the change in the gene and so hard to diagnose if you aren't showing symptoms. Our children have a 50/50 chance of developing the condition. I am already taking part in a research project called the 100,000 genomes project. Trekking to the peak of Scafell Pike is a huge challenge for me! Some of our family and friends will be helping to drag me up there so anything you can donate would mean the world to me! It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £25 could pay for an hour of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thank you!
