Story
Ahead of the CAT trip to South Africa and Malawi next month, both of us will be raising money for the One Foundation next week (wc 24/10/2011).
We both plan to take a long hard look at all the things we have that we take for granted and that make our lives easier…and take them all away for a week so we can learn to appreciate them more.
So, that means no TV, radio, music, internet, social media, coffee, tea, booze, or manufactured, pre-bought food.
Iain will also be sacrificing his gym pass and bike and will walk to and from work instead. Maree has a life-long commitment to sacrificing the gym so she’ll sacrifice something else instead.
As neither will have the opportunity to spend our evenings at Nando’s or watching America’s Next Top Model on Sky Living we will both have plenty of time to concentrate on personal goals; for Maree that’s learning Spanish and studying human rights and for Iain it’s running and studying for his French diploma.
We will be blogging as we go, detailing the blisters and the sugar withdrawal. You can laugh at us empathise and be motivated by via our blog here;

All donations are massively welcome. More information on the One Foundation and all the excellent work they do can be found here;

Thanks in advance,
Maree and Iain
