Story

Thank you for visiting my page and considering donating to Borne! You probably know Lottie and Angus' history, and their success story despite a tricky start. Premature birth is the leading cause of death for children under the age of five around the world. It is the single biggest cause of neonatal deaths in the UK. From the moment they are born, premature babies face many challenges. Their lives are often complicated by long-term disability, such as cerebral palsy, chronic lung disease or learning difficulties. Yet, we still do not know why so many babies are born too soon and how to stop it. Borne was created to change this. In October 2022,  Angus and I are joining a team of adventurers battling their way across Costa Rica to raise £250,000 for Borne's life-saving research into the causes of premature birth. With your support, we can help prevent babies from being born too soon and give every child the best chance in life, free from disability. Thank you for supporting me and Borne!
