Story
As many of you know we lost our beautiful mum, Ann, to the absolute crap that is pancreatic cancer in March of this year. She was a woman of so many talents, from playing jazz to transforming houses, from creating ceramics to conjuring up the best meals you've ever had. She achieved so much in her too-short time, and had so much more to give. But didn't get the chance.
Running was one of her hobbies too. This is a picture of her calmly finishing off the London Marathon back in the 90's. In the spirit of not quite living up to her amazing achievements, we are doing the Hospice in the Weald 10k in her memory. It's not quite a marathon, but I know she'd give us top marks for having a go!
Claire, Roger, Patrick, Karen, Callum, Chloe and even 73 year old Brian are all taking part and hope to raise some funds for the Hospice in the Weald.
Mum spent the last precious days of her life at the Hospice and we will be forever grateful for the dedication and kindness shown by the team there. Despite Covid, we were given all the time, space and support we needed to be together as a family and to be with her right up to her final moments. And it meant so much to know that she felt safe and at peace.
It's a wonderful resource and they rely entirely on fundraising and donations to carry on their vital work. It would mean a lot if you could make a donation.
Thank you!
