Friends of Kagando are raising funds to complete the Kagando Hydro scheme to give reliable electricity for the hospital and to reduce the running costs to allow it to work towards sustainability.

Kagando hospital does amazing work in a rural community where many live in poverty in Western Uganda.

 Having visited the hospital many times over the last 14 years I am aware that this Hydro scheme is vitally important for safe patient care and for the long-term future of the hospital.

The Hydro pipeline carrying water down the mountainside to the powerhouse is 2.5kms long. I will be walking this distance every day during October - probably with my dog too - and am grateful for any donation towards this project.
