Story
Dear friends and family
I am extremely excited and privileged to be part of a small team who are attempting two incredible feats in 2019:
1. To raise in excess of £250,000 for UK-based charity Wooden Spoon; and
2. To set two World Records in April-May 2019 for the highest game of full contact Sevens rugby and the highest game of mixed Sevens touch rugby above Advanced Base Camp on Everest, at 6,650 metres!
How can you help?
My personal target is to raise in excess of £10,000 for Wooden Spoon, a charity that is now close to my heart having witnessed the amazing work they do across the UK and Ireland. Wooden Spoon, known as the children's charity of rugby, fund life-changing projects to support children and young people with disabilities.
Your donation will fund a range of projects from respite and medical treatment centres, sensory rooms, specialist playgrounds and community-based programmes.
If you are able to support my challenge, I will be extremely grateful. It is worth pointing out that 100% of your donation will go direct to Wooden Spoon - each of the challengers are funding the cost of the trip separately.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

A bit more about The Challenge:
The LMAX Exchange Everest Rugby Challenge will take place over 24 days from the 13th April 2019 with our goal to battle acclimatisation and heights of 6,500 metres to play the highest game of full contact rugby and the highest game of mixed touch rugby in history - all in support of Wooden Spoon.
The money we raise will make a real difference to Wooden Spoon's beneficiaries, helping towards the vision:
Through the power of rugby, every child and young person has access to the same opportunities, no matter what their background!
