Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In January 2015, I weighed in at an impressive 18 and a half stone, the ground would shake with every step I took !
Something had to be done, I couldn't run 10 yards without being out of breath, so I decided to enlist the help of a personal trainer (Hi Gina!)
Two years later, I weighed in at 13 stone 2, and had managed to run 3 half marathons. The next goal is to run a full marathon, and what better way to do it, than by running the London Marathon, for a very worthy cause, the Tuberous Sclerosis Association
Tuberous Sclerosis is an incredibly rare genetic condition, for which there is no cure, only treatments that help to keep the condition at bay. The condition manifests itself as benign tumours which appear in the brain, the kidneys, heart, eyes, lungs and skin, and can lead to the need for brain surgery and renal surgery. In addition, 10 babies are born in the UK every year with TSC, who could go on to develop learning disabilities, and suffer with severe epilepsy.
I have worked in this area for a number of years, and have seen and heard first hand the impact it has on the lives of patients and their families.
I would be so grateful if you could find the time to make a donation, no matter how small, to help make the lives of these wonderful patients better.
Thank you for your time, and your donation, which will help in some small way in changing the lives of these patients for the better.
