Story
Background
Nearly 11 years since the revolution in Syria began, around 1.5 million refugees remain displaced in Lebanon. Many refugee families are struggling to survive, let alone support themselves and thrive.
As Lebanon faces a financial crisis, food and living costs have skyrocketed, making it hard for families to afford basic essentials. Huge numbers have already lost loved ones to the harsh conditions and many children have been orphaned at young ages as a consequence.
My goal
I am planning to visit refugee camps in Lebanon and work with Human Appeal to endeavour to provide food, healthcare and education. Medical centres throughout the country face shortages of basic supplies as part of the fallout from COVID-19 having devastating consequences on the lives of these refugees.
I am aiming to raise funds for food packs to ensure that the Syrian families do not go without food, especially now in the difficult summer heat. Donating towards a food pack will aid in preventing parents having to send their young children to work to help earn a living for their families.
Where will the money go?
We continue to reassess the most urgent needs. Right now, we are delivering essential medical supplies in Saida, Beirut, Bekaa, North Lebanon and Baalbek.This school year, we’ll be providing 360 Syrian children in Lebanon with education in Sawasia and Al Rahma teaching centres in Bekaa.
£30 – Provide a family with 2 bread deliveries per week for two months.
£60 – Help us to support our emergency medical and education work in Lebanon.
£70 - Provide a nutritious food parcel to feed a family for a month
From just £70, you can share your warmth with a family left out in the cold this winter. We’re providing heaters, blankets, mattresses, warm clothing, and waterproof sheeting to families across 10 countries.

Your role
Please give however much or however little you can with knowledge that the money will be making a huge difference in the lives of those in desperate need. The (for us) relatively small amounts above will not only feed, clothe and provide warmth but subsequently facilitate infrastructure growth and enable children through education that they wouldn’t otherwise receive.
