#THISGIRLCAN has shown Anna & Katie that anything is possible and any one of us normal girls can achieve great things. So we want to raise money to support those girls who are in a less fortunate position.

We are lucky enough to have the access, resources and freedom as well as support of wonderful family and friends to take on this 'hurdle' - cycling from London to Paris, for Plan UK. But many girls all over the world have significantly less freedom and access to opportunity. They are subjected to; child marriage, sexual abuse and violence, and made to feel they have little worth or value. 

Adolescence should be a time of excitement and opportunity. Anything can seem possible, but still there are young girls who are denied any rights or choices. Almost invisible. They are the most vulnerable to poverty, gender inequality, violence, poor education, unfair policies, ingrained attitudes and conflict. 

Plan UK's 'Because I am a Girl' campaign says; Give Child Marriage the Finger. So we will saddle up, pedal forward and slog it all the way to Paris, because a bit of blood sweat and tears is worth every penny you lovely people can donate to make a better situation for these girls.
