This November, I will be running the New York City Marathon and I am raising money for Special Olympics! This organization is very important to me because of the positive impacts I have seen it have in communities and on individuals' lives like my sister, Ashley. 

Anyone who knows Ashley knows that she is extremely dedicated to anything she does, especially when it comes to sports. Whether it has been kayaking, soccer, skiing, or bowling, Ashley has never taken the opportunity to compete for granted. Among many other things, Special Olympics gives those with disabilities the opportunity to compete, and in Ashley's case, win a lot of medals. 

Special Olympics provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to advance physical fitness, demonstrate courage, and develop teamwork skills and friendships with their families, other athletes, and their communities.

I am dedicating my NYC marathon run to my sister, and would greatly appreciate any donations my network can provide for this organization!
