Let me introduce myself. Im Ann. I am a Health Care Assistant and I normally work in Day Care at the hospice and have done for nearly 19 years. However, since Day Care closed due to Coronavirus in March I have been seconded to work on the Inpatient Unit. Ive seen and experienced many things in my time as a nurse at the hospice but never have I endured the challenges quite like those in recent months due to the pandemic. For this reason, I am writing to ask if you can Be a Star and support our work this Christmas. Normally, Christmas is all about festivities and fun here at the hospice but sadly, this Christmas wont be the same for our patients due to social distancing and restricted visiting. We are all about celebrating life and putting smiles on patients faces which is what I find the most rewarding, especially during the festive season.
